§ 32-1. Purpose.

In order to protect the general health, safety and welfare of the people of the county and to preserve the natural resources of the county for posterity, this sediment and flood control chapter is enacted to prevent pollution of watersheds, streams and natural drainage channels, to prevent the sedimentation of streams, to prevent the clogging of ditches, to prevent the silting of lakes and to prevent the erosion of soils.
